Pricing questions, answered
What does U Creator cost?
There is no subscription and no listing fee. U Creator takes a flat 15% commission on a completed project, and nothing at all on a project that never completes. Signing up, building a profile, browsing the directory and posting a brief are all free.
Who pays the 15%: the brand or the creator?
It comes out of the project budget, so it is the creator who bears it. On a ₹10,000 brief the brand pays ₹10,000, the creator receives ₹8,500 and U Creator keeps ₹1,500. The split is shown to both sides before anyone commits, and the creator sees their exact payout before accepting.
When is the fee charged?
Only when you approve the work and funds are released from escrow. If a project is cancelled before approval, the money returns to the brand and no commission is taken.
How does escrow actually work?
You fund the brief before the creator starts, and a licensed escrow partner holds the money (not U Creator and not the creator). They begin knowing the budget genuinely exists; you keep control until you have reviewed the work. Approving releases the funds; requesting changes keeps them held.
How do I pay, and how do creators get paid?
Brands fund escrow by UPI, debit or credit card, or netbanking, in INR. Approved payouts reach the creator’s account within one working day.
What if the work is not what I asked for?
Request changes instead of approving, and the money stays in escrow while the creator revises. If you cannot reach agreement, either side can open a dispute and we review the brief against what was delivered before deciding where the funds go.
Is U Creator only for India?
Yes. Accounts, creators and payments are India-only at launch: budgets are in INR, payouts land in Indian bank accounts, and the directory covers Indian states and union territories. Working with creators outside India is not supported yet.
Do I need a subscription to post a brief or message creators?
No. Posting briefs, receiving applications, messaging creators and running projects are all included. U Creator has no paid tiers: the 15% on completed work is the entire pricing model.
